Emehor, Utomi, Ochei absent as APC inaugurates campaign council in Delta

The All Progressives Congress, APC, in Delta State on Friday inaugurated its campaign council for the 2019 general elections.

Speaking at the event, the APC governorship candidate, Chief Great Ogboru, said the party was set to win all elections in the state.

Ogboru, who noted that the party was moving ahead despite some challenges, urged the campaign council to ensure that all APC candidates, including President Muhammadu Buhari, would win at the polls.

“A former governor of the state, Emmanuel Uduaghan, told the congregation in the church last two weeks that he had been an obstacle in my quest to be the Governor of Delta State for years, but this time, he has promised to work hard for my governorship ambition and he will lead us as the chairman of the governorship campaign council,” Ogboru said.

Uduaghan, on his part, promised to help Ogboru to actualise his desire to become the governor of the state.

“Ogboru could not have been governor because he did not ‘know the road’; I am now in the APC to show him the road. But the problem is that the APC in Delta has not inculcated the spirit of winning elections,” he said.

The chairman of the party in Delta State, Jones Erue, urged the party faithful to work towards the party’s victory at the polls.

Also speaking at the event, a chieftain of the party, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, insisted that it was time for the APC to be the ruling party in the state.

Meanwhile, Onorogun Ote’ga Emehor, Victor Ochei, Prof Pat Utomi, and some other chieftains of the party in the state did not attend the inauguration of the campaign council. – Punch
