Ganiyu Johnson, Commissioner of Works and Infrastructure stated this while inspecting the progress of work on road construction projects along the Lekki and Epe axis of the state.

He said that the State Government is injecting about 30km of multiple carriage way of road network into Epe, consisting of three lanes on each carriage way, pedestrian walkway, drains and street light amongst other features.

During the inspection of the Ajah flyover under construction, Johnson opined his satisfaction with the number of alternative routes and diversion roads provided by the contractor, in order to alleviate inconveniences to motorists and road users.

The residents of Ajah have lauded the efforts of the state government on the flyover construction as a means of alleviating the hardship they experience due to perennial traffic gridlock in the area.

Johnson therefore appealed for caution and co-operation from all road users by obeying all traffic regulation, assuring them that all traffic agencies have been directed to ensure free flow of traffic during the construction period.

He then assured Lagosians of the commitment of the state government to spread infrastructural development to every part of the State.
