Fayose Recalls Six Sacked Commissioners

GOVERNOR, Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has recalled six out of the 16 sacked commissioners.

The governor had on Sunday, July 2, dissolved the state executive council in a major shake-up.

In a statement by Lere Olayinka, his special assistant on Public Communications and New Media, on Sunday, July 9, Fayose, however, directed the recalled commissioners to return to their duty posts today, Monday, July 10.

Those recalled are Bisi Kolawole, commissioner for Environment; Funmi Ogun, commissioner for Works; Ayodele Michael, commissioner for Commerce and Industry; Kehinde Odebunmi, commissioner for Agriculture; Toyin Ojo, commissioner for Finance, and Olurotimi Ojo, commissioner for Health.

The statement said 10 commissioners shall be appointed in due course, calling on the people of the state to be patient.

The governor promised to raise a good team that would give the people the dividends of democracy.
