BETTY Anyanwu-Akeredolu, wife of Ondo State governor, had revealed that the Akeredolu led administration in Ondo State has special training package for persons with special needs in Ondo State.
Mrs Akeredolu made this known in her office while receiving in audience a delegation of persons with special needs led by Folashade Arise, the newly appointed special assistant to the governor on special persons.
According to the governor’s wife, the training programme would cut across Information Communication Technology, ICT, Renewable energy, Fashion designing and other vocations and encouraged them to indicate interest in any vocation of their choice.
She further revealed that some physically challenged people who are already in business would be used as paid resource persons during the training exercise to also encourage them.
“This administration has a lot in stock for special persons. We are going to enroll some of you in special training program ranging from ICT, Renewable energy, Fashion designing and other numerous vocations.
“When you are done we should be able to back you up with the tools you need. So you can be useful to yourselves and Ondo State at large because we believe there is ability in disability. ” she said.
The Sunshine State first lady who remarked that she has a long connection with the community of the special persons having trained a few persons with disabilities in the past, and assured the delegation that they will be carried along in Akeredolu’s administration.
