DELE Adeniji, Chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area, Ogun, says a vote for the Allied People’s Movement (APM) governorship candidate, Mr Adekunle Akinlade, is a vote for effective leadership in the state.

In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ota on Friday, Adeniji solicited the votes of the people to ensure Akinade emerged governor-elect of the state on March 9.

He said an endorsement of Akinlade would correct the perceived marginalisation of the Yewa-Ipokia people of the state.

The council boss said that a vote for the APM governorship candidate would enable continuity and rotation of power to other groups.

“Electing Akinlade from Yewa-Ipokia area will create opportunity for other localities to govern the state and erase the stigma of marginalisation in governance. ”

Adeniji added that it was time for power to shift to other parts, so that others could also feel a sense of belonging and bring developments to their areas.

He, therefore, appealed to Ogun residents to come out en masse on March 9 to vote Akinlade to ensure effective leadership. (NAN)
