LAWMAKER representing Badagry in the House of Representatives, Babatunde Hunpe, said he had sponsored four bills in his first year in the National Assembly.

Giving an account of his stewardship since he was sworn in on June 11, 2019, Hunpe promised to use his office to bring infrastructural, economic and youth development to his constituency.

“For the period under review, I was able to sponsor two self sponsored bills, co-sponsored two bills and made amendments to four motions, all in favor of issues affecting our Federal Constituency.

“Also, one of my bills to amend an act is awaiting second reading while another two new personally sponsored bills are also awaiting hearing,” he said.

The lawmaker assured his constituents of his promise to feed them back quarterly on his performance in the House.

“Let me at this juncture state that my promise to give feedback on quarterly basis still stands.

“I pray for Almighty God to intervene in COVID-19 pandemic so that everything will come back to normal,” he said.

He thanked his constituents for their support since the assumption of office and promised to adhere strictly to advise from them.

“I appreciate you all especially my political leaders, members of our great party, members of other parties and non-party members,” he said. (NAN)
