Ndume Out, Lawan in as Senate Majority Leader
BREAKING NEWS, Politics
–
THE Senate has sacked its Majority Leader Senator Ali Ndume in what appears a parliamentary coup. The APC caucus in the Senate kept sealed lips on the reason for the sudden change but inside sources said it was the culmination of a cold war among the APC leadership of the Senate.
Senator Ahmad Lawan has been picked by the All Progressive Congress caucus to replace him. The caucus, in a letter to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, which was read on the floor of the Senate during the plenary on Tuesday, announced Senator Ahmed Lawan as its new leader, citing no reason for the twist. – Political Economist
