The Ondo State House of Assembly has ratified the appointment of Lasisi Oluboyo as deputy governor to replace Ali Olanusi who was removed from office Monday, April 27

LASISI Oluboyo, erstwhile commissioner of agriculture is the new deputy governor of Ondo State. Oluboyo’s appointment was announced by Governor Olusegun Mimiko after his selection was ratified by the state House of Assembly, on Monday April 27. The Assembly ratified the appointment of Oluboyo shortly after the House perfected the removal of Ali Olanusi, erstwhile deputy governor from office.

At the swearing-in ceremony also on Monday, April 27, Oluboyo pledged his loyalty to Mimiko and the people of Ondo State. Appointment of Oluboyo was ratified shortly after the state lawmakers removed Olanusi from office on allegations of misconduct including misappropriation of public funds and absenteeism from official duties.

Oluboyo is hailed from Ikare Akoko.
