He said that the only requirement in ascertaining ones’ state of origin could be through, driving licence, international passport, letter of identification from president-general and voter’s card.

Nwoji emphasised that the registration was not new but only re– launch to create more awareness on the need for every citizen to get his or her data be captured in the National Identity Management System, NIMS.

The National Orientation boss enjoined Anambra residents to take the registration exercise seriously, saying that Anambra State placed first in the South East as state with highest number of registered citizens

Nwoji cautioned against last minute `rush mentality’ among the people, urging those yet to register to do so urgently.

“Our message is to ensure that people change from bad habits to good habit.

“NIMS is still coming up soon. The re-training of the staff has started. Don’t wait until you hear that registration is about closing before everybody crowds at the registration centres.

“Just like in the case of PVCs, people were reluctant to go and register until the dying minute. There is no way the crowd there will all be registered,’’ Nwoji said.
