Governor Willie Obiano has enjoined residents of Onitsha South Local Government Area to continue to support candidates of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

“This will help me to actualise the promises I made during my second term campaign rallies in 2017,’’ Obiano said during his campaign tour of the LGA.

The governor was on a solidarity visit to the LGA on behalf of candidates of APGA campaigning for various positions in the upcoming General Elections.

Victor Ike Oye, the national chairman of APGA, urged the people of Onitsha-South to continue their support for the APGA as the only party with the interest of Ndi Igbo at heart.

“APGA is the only party that is clean and clear in Nigeria. APGA is a party for equity and justice.’’

Oye noted that the APGA as a political party had a presidential candidate and deputy in the forthcoming election unlike in the previous elections.

Emeka Asoanya, the Transition Committee chairman, Onitsha South LGA, said that posterity would remember Anambra government under Obiano for security of lives and property.

The chairman described Obiano as a good politician who was always faithful in keeping to all his promises.

Part of the event was handover of flag to candidates vying for various political positions by the national chairman of APGA.
