The All Progressives Congress chieftain canvass votes in the South East for President Muhammadu Buhari

OSITA Okechukwu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the director-general of the Voice of Nigeria, VON, has asked governors of the South East produced by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to continue to support the re-election bid of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Reacting to the statement from Oseloka Obaze, the Anambra State chairman of the PDP’s Presidential Campaign Council, that the South East governors stood the risk of losing their re-election if Buhari wins on February 16, Okechukwu stated that there was no truth in the matter, adding that Ndigbo and by extension, South East governors have nothing against Atiku-Obi ticket, but sincerely want to preside over Nigeria in 2023, which only Buhari’s victory could guarantee.

“To be candid we have done a critical analysis of the two Fulani Muslim brothers, Buhari and Atiku, who incidentally are the front runners in the 2019 presidential election and came to the inevitable conclusion that the former has better integrity than the later, has invested more in critical infrastructure and relies more on his people than the latter. A vote for Buhari will attract more concrete political alliance with the North than voting for Atiku.”
