BOBOYE Oyeyemi, the corps marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps, has restated the commitment of the management to annual promotion exercise, saying those that failed in the last promotion exercise need not despair as there would still be more opportunities. He stated this while decorating Sani Abdullahi, a superintendent route commander and the media assistant to the corps marshal, to his new rank of chief route commander.

Represented by Julius Asom, an assistant corps marshal and the special assistant to corps marshal, Oyeyemi commended staff of the FRSC nationwide for their commitment to duties and pledged to reciprocate high productivity through adequate reward system. While congratulating those that were successful in the last promotion exercise, he enjoined those that could not make it not to lose hope, as more opportunities would still come for them to rewrite.

The corps marshal commended Abdullai for his diligence, hard work and loyalty, saying he was not surprised when he learnt of his success in the last promotion exercise. He enjoined all staff to embrace hard work and diligence in their various assignments.

The FRSC Boss warned staff against indolence, rumour mongering and acts capable of undermining the integrity of the FRSC, stressing that building the positive image for the Corps is a collective responsibility of all. He called on the staff to be on their toes in sustaining the good work they have done during the recent end of year special patrol.

In his appreciation remarks, Abdullahi thanked the corps marshal and members of the management for the promotion. He promised to work harder and remain dedicated in justifying the confidence reposed in him by the Management through the promotion.

Highlight of the occasion was the decoration of the newly promoted officer to his new rank by the special assistant to the corps marshal, who was assisted by Abayomi Olukoju, a corps commander and the principal staff officer to the corps marshal, which was witnessed by some senior officers and marshals of the FRSC national headquarters, Abuja
