NEW hope of politics without bitterness has been rekindled in Nigeria’s polity, as a strong political ally of President Muhammadu Buhari, Aishat Alubankudi, has in the spirit of One Love extended birthday wishes to the SA Youth and Support Groups, to former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, who marks his auspicious birthday.
In the message, she explained that though they are in different political affiliations, she sees him as her son.
“I call him my son, I’ve known him for decades, but we went to different ways due to our political affiliations.
“Amb Aliyu Bin Abbas is one of the reliable trustworthy people on earth, very caring and respectful.
“Regardless of our differences, you’re still my son till eternal. Happy birthday, son,” she said.
Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, who is also the Director-General of the Atiku Care Foundation, has been inundated with several messages on the Social Media as he marked his birthday on February 2, 2020.
It would be recalled that many close associates of Atiku had said that he would not be averse to any efforts to foster reconciliation between him and President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to a governor from the North East, he welcomes all efforts to foster reconciliation between Mr. President and Atiku.
“In any case, Atiku has said he never had any personal grudges against the person of the President, but fundamentally differing in policymaking and decision making. It is a welcome development,” he said.
