UMAR El-Yakub, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, House of Representatives, has pledged a cordial working relationship between the executive and the 9th Assembly.

El-Yakub made this pledge in an interview with the News Agency (NAN) on the sideline of the 2019 presidential inauguration ceremony on Wednesday in Abuja.

“The president has met with them, dined with them and engaged them in various ways with a view to making them to see Nigeria as a project for all.

“All the various organs of government are working for Nigeria and it is our responsibility to take the issues of governance seriously to deliver on the promises made to Nigerians,” he said.

El-Yakub expressed optimism that the second administration of President Muhammadu Buhari would witness massive infrastructure development and policies that would impact positively on the lives of citizens.

He lauded the security arrangement in and around the Eagle Square, the venue of the 2019 presidential inauguration. (NAN)
