Road Rehabilitation: Anambra Government keeps promises to Ihiala Community

ANAMBRA State government has commenced rehabilitation work on some of the roads in Ihiala and environs.

The Eziani axis of Orlu Road has been tarred up to Primary Health Centre, Ihiala, thereby fulfilling one on the campaign promises by Governor Willie Obiano to Ihiala people.

The road, which links many towns in Ihiala Local Government Area, had on several occasions been refurbished by the current government since assumption of office.

The rehabilitation has also been extended to Total Filling Station axis of the road.

The road, which had been a nightmare to commuters now has good drainage channels to make it last.

An indigene of Ihiala, Ken Mmadubueze in an interview told newsmen said that it was a welcome development, commending the governor for saving them from the menace of floodwaters.

Udu Ebele, a roadside food vendor said that this was one of the things the masses needed from government.

She, however, commended the government for fulfilling its election promises to the people.

Malachy Ikenazor, a resident of Ihiala, said that this was dividend of democracy from government.

He urged the Ihiala people to vote for All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, the current State House of Assembly election, for continuity in development and good governance.
