Senate Confirms 45 Ambassadors, Reject 2

The Nigerian Senate on March 23, at the plenary session confirmed the appointment of 45 non-career ambassadors, rejecting two of the nominees.

The lawmakers refused to confirm Sylvanus Nsofor (Imo) and Jacob Daudu (Ondo),

Nsofor was rejected for refusing to recite the country’s National Anthem, while Daudu was rejected based on negative report from the State Security Service that indicted him for corruption.
