State Assembly Polls: Anambra Government declares March 8 Work-free Day

THE government of Anambra State has declared, Friday, March 8, as work-free day to enable public servants to travel to participate in the March 9, State House of Assembly elections.

A circular signed by Harry Uduh, head of Service, said the government enjoined public servants to use the opportunity to travel to their respective communities to cast their votes in the polls.

“Anambra State Public Servants are accordingly enjoined to note the importance of peace, stability and good governance to the welfare of the citizens of the state and its workforce.

It urged all to perform their civic duty by voting wisely during the elections.
