Voter education, key to electing credible leaders, gallant voters too

A GROUP known as ‘Gallant Voters’ led by Charles Okolo, director-general, said that voter education is key to election of credible leaders.

The group said this when they were hosted by Tony Collins Nwabunwanne, the Transition Committee chairman of Anambra West Local Area, LGA, at his m aritime office in Umueze Anam.

Okolo enumerated the aims of the group to include voter education, voter sensitisation.

He said that adequate voter sensitisation could not be overemphasized in any democratic setting and called on eligible voters to vote wisely.

The group solicited the support of the council in ensuring that their objectives were achieved.

The Transition Committee chairman of the council thanked them for identifying the need for proper voter education.

He urged them to maintain the tempo and remain non-partisan, so as to enhance their effectiveness.

The council boss, who enumerated some of the achievements of the present administration in Anambra West and the state in general called for re-election of Governor Willie Obiano in the November 18 Gubernatorial Election.

He also used the opportunity to brief them on the ongoing data collection and registration of unemployed youths of Anambra origin.

Nwabunwanne, described Obiano as a man that had the interest of youths at heart.
