Voting ends in Senate as counting of ballot begins

THE Clerk of the National Assembly announced the end of voting at the Senate at exactly 11.54 a.m. About 107 lawmakers- elect cast their votes for either Ali Ndume of Borno-South or Ahmed Lawan of Yobe-North.
The ruling All Progressives Congress is supporting Lawan while the opposition Peoples Democratic Party supports Ndume.
The sorting of the ballots has begun and counting will follow immediately. – Punch
