THE Voice Of Ogun Women, an all Female pressure group comprising of Ogun  female citizens either by birth or marriage has commended Dapo Abiodun, the governor-elect of Ogun State for forming an Economic Transition  Committee ahead of his swearing in ceremony.

The VOW while congratulating Abiodun on his victory at the polls,  eulogised his magnanimity of choosing his Economic Team across party lines .

The VOW commended the fine mix of hands-on political grassrooters and professionals and technocrats types across the geopolitical zones of Ogun State.

Highlighting the positive initiative as a signal of the economic vision of the incoming government, VOW also appreciated the governor-elect for selecting two noble women namely Salmot Badru and Sidi Osho both who are illustrious daughters of Ogun State in the team.

It, however, urged him to further look inward and open the door of governance for equally more talented, resourceful and committed citizens among the Women folks in Ogun State. saying

“In a Committee of 23 members to have only two women  doesn’t really go down well with us as Voice Of Ogun Women.

To us, this amounts to gender marginalisation and retrogression in gender affirmative action.  .

We as a Body passionate about the development of Women in our beloved State, implores our Governor-Elect to engage more female technocrats and professionals in his nomination of appointees.”
