THE National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has passed a vote of confidence on Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State based on what it described as his impressive performance, youth-oriented and friendly development strides.

“Collectively, the delegates expressed their desire in purchasing the nomination form for his re-election for 2nd term in office,’’ NYCN Enugu State chapter said in a communiqué issued in Enugu on Thursday.

The communiqué was issued at the end of the Enugu Youth Mega Town Hall Dialogue organised by the NYCN Enugu State chapter.

It was signed by the State Chairman NYCN/Convener Paschal Ugwu and Vice President of NYCN South-East Ogechukwu Nnamene.

The communiqué commended the initiative of the governor in empowering traders through the periodic market raffle draws, in which many youths benefitted.

It also commended the governor on massive road constructions and ensuring peace across the state.

According to the communique, NYCN appreciates the governor’s prompt intervention in restoring hope to the hopeless Libya returnees.

“NYCN is commending Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for appointing many youths as Executive Assistants and Special Assistants.

“We are requesting for the appointment of youths (between the ages 18 and 35) as commissioners and inclusion of youths in budget committee, to ensure massive youth development’’ it said.

The communiqué also observed the challenges of Enugu State students and requested for increased subvention to state-owned institutions. (NAN)
