THE Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), says the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has began repairs on the faulty circuit breaker at Katampe Transmission Station in Abuja.

AEDC’s General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Oyebode Fadipe said this in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.

Fadipe said that the problem occurred at about 6 p.m on Tuesday night.

According to him, the areas affected by the problem include  Kado Fish Market, GODAB Estate, Setraco, Katisina Estate, Paradise Estate, Life Camp and environs.

“We are unable to power the Life Camp 33kV Feeder which provides electricity in the areas mentioned above. The TCN maintenance crew is working to resolve this problem.’’

Fadipe apologised to consumers’ presently experiencing blackout as a result of the problem, while assuring them that it would soon be resolved without further delay. (NAN)
