The Safety Shooters on Wednesday extended their unbeaten run at the ongoing 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja to nine games by defeating Confluence Stars of Kogi 29-23
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that in the match at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium the male handball team in their full element as they dominated their opponents.
Speaking after the match, the chief coach of Safety shooters, Mohammed Bala, said his players did a good job.
“I congratulate the players for the good work. My players played to instructions and we are seeing the positive result of that.
“We won all our matches in the male category, and we still have two matches to play,” he said.
The coach also commended the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) for organising this year’s league competition.
“In spite of COVID-19, they have put so many things in place to organise the competition. They have done so well to help these players, and we say ‘kudos’ to them for the work well done, ” the coach said.(NAN)
