PASTOR Funsho Idowu of Glory of Christ Church, Tanke, Ilorin, has advised married men not to be too busy to have time for their family.

Idowu, gave the advice in Ilorin on Tuesday while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He said that lack of time for the family had caused many broken homes.

According to him, many men prioritise their work above their family which has caused many marriages to break up.

” Most men prefer to hang out with friends or stay late at work for long not minding their family at home; they always frame excuses for not being present at home when needed.

” It is normal for one to be busy, but not to the extent of making your home the second option, it should be the first.

”Most men endanger their marriage by their lackadaisical attitude towards their family; giving money and food alone for family is not enough.

”It is good to make yourself available at the right time because as your wife needs your company as a partner, your children also need their father around them,” he said.

The cleric, however, called on women too to always make the house homely for their husbands so as not to scare them away from home.
