Runway Reconstruction: FAAN to close runway at Enugu Airport

THE Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, hereby notifies airlines, passengers and all other stakeholders that the runway at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu will be closed for major repairs and works on the airfield with effect from August, 24, 2019.

A statement by FAAN said that the move was aimed at resolving the existing Safety/Security concerns to flight operations.

It added that the date to reopen the runway would be communicated in due course, while it reiterated the commitment of FAAN to its core values of “Safety, Security and Comfort”.
