Safety Babes overwhelm Seasiders 31-26 at Prudent Energy Handball League

The Safety Babes female handball team on Wednesday overwhelmed the Seasiders Babes of Lagos 31-26 at the ongoing Prudent Energy Handball Premier League in Abuja.

Safety Babes led the game from the first half and went into the break at 14-10, and they never let off to ensure they won the game.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the 2020 league holding at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium is featuring teams in both the male and female categories.

Speaking with NAN on the match later, the Chief Coach of Safety Shooters, Mohammed Bala, said they were well prepared to win the match.

“We were with good hopes of winning the game and we had been seriously working hard on it.

Meanwhile, in some male competition matches played, Plateau Vipers lost to D: Defender 29-33, while Confluence Stars lost to Safety Shooters 23-29.

Also, Delta Force lost to Niger United 25-34 while Rima Strikers defeated COAS Shooters 40-31.

Twelve teams are participating in the male category of the competition, while 10 teams are featuring in the female category.

NAN reports that the league which entered Match Day 12 on Wednesday started on Oct. 31 and will end on Saturday.(NAN)
