Security guard in court for allegedly stealing generator, moulding machine

A 45-year old man, Saheed Muhammad, on Monday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing 5.5 KVA generator and a moulding block engine, all valued at N630,000.
The defendant, a security guard who resides at No 11, Ajibola St., Ikeja, was charged with conspiracy and stealing.
The Prosecutor, Insp. Segun Oke, told the court that the offences were committed on Jan. 20 at 11 Asurobi St., Ogba, Lagos.
Oke said that the defendant and one other at large, were employed by the complainant, Mrs Bola Jones, to work as labourers in her block industry.
The prosecutor said that the defendant and his other accomplice, later stole the items.
The offences according to the prosecutor, contravened the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2023.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The Magistrate, Mrs M. C Ayinde, granted him bail for N50,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ayinde adjourned the case until April 14 for mention.(NAN)
