THE Nigerian Army on Friday revealed it had reunited children, rescued from Boko Haram with their families.

On its Twitter handle, the spokesperson of the Army, Brig Gen Texas Chukwu, said the children reunited with their parents in Ngafure village in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State after they were rescued by troops of 22 Brigade deployed in Operation Lafiya Dole.

The children were abducted two years ago by Boko Haram terrorists.

The army spokesperson revealed that the troops rescued the hostages; two boys and two girls during a clearance operation at Maima village in Ngala Local Government Area of the State.

A 36 hand grenade was recovered during the operation.

“The rescued hostages are currently receiving medical attention at the military health facilities”, Chukwu concluded. – Punch
