IGP Congratulates 8,916 newly promoted officers

IN furtherance of the March 31, 2019 announcement of the release of promotions by the Police Service Commission, Mohammed Adamu, the acting inspector general of police, on Thursday, April 4, 2019 decorated Frank Mba, the Force Public Relations Officer, with his new rank of deputy commissioner of police. Other Officers decorated by the IGP include Igbafe Afegbai, an assistant commissioner of police and 2iC Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, and Atiku Ibrahim, a superintendent of police and personal assistant, PA, to the IGP.

While decorating the three officers, the IGP congratulated them and the 8,913 other newly promoted officers of the force, and charged them to see their elevation as a call to rededicate themselves to the service of the nation and to continue to recognise and uphold the fundamental rights of the citizens.
