Kidnapped CBN Governor’s Wife Released

Margaret Emefiele, wife of the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, has been released by her abductors. Margaret was kidnapped along Edo/Delta road on Thursday, September 29.
The kidnappers, who contacted the family on Friday, were said to have demanded N100 million as ransom before her release.
The Police had confirmed the incident on Friday and stated that they were working to get her released. Two Police officers attached to were shot during the incident.
But a top official of the Central Bank of Nigeria confirmed to magazine this morning that Margaret has been released.
