The sit at home order usually observed every Monday in the five states in the southeast geo-political zone has been extended to Tuesday this week.

Realnews gathered that the extension of the sit at home order was due to the fact Nnamdi Kanu will be appearing in Court on Tuesday in Abuja. It will be recalled that the judge adjourned  the case on May 26 to June 28 at the last hearing in Abija.

Meanwhile, the sit at home order was observed in all the southeastern states on Monday.

According to the reports from the states in the zone, the residents stayed at home Anambra state, while schools and markets were not open.

The report from Abia state said that the order was partially observed in Umuahia, and that markets and shops were opened for business. But students and workers stayed away from schools and offices.

Reports from Enugu and Imo states said the the sit at home was partially observed.  According to Osim Bassey, the roads were deserted and most people stayed indoors. Markets and shops were also shut down and students and pupils did not attend school, while workers did not go to work.

Although IPOB had earlier issued a statement canceling the Monday sit at home order, but the residents in the zone still observe the order to avoid any firm of harrasment from the gunmen enforcing the order.
