2. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation is delighted to identify with your medium as a bellwether of all that is good in online media.
3. Your medium, within the short span of its existence, has distinguished itself as authentic, factual, truthful, balanced and exceptionally relevant to the noble cause of the not only the people but also the nation as a whole.
4. In particular, NNPC appreciates the fertile discourse, the big issues, that your annual lecture series throws up. This, I believe, has gone a long way in setting national agenda and chat a course for the future direction of our country.
5. This brings to the admonishment that other online media will do well to emulateRealnewshighpoints. For, although the online media have some obvious advantages over the traditional media – provide real time accessibility; have the reach and allow for feedback from readers, among others, – some of your co-practitioners, in a way, have tainted the medium.
6. These dregs of the channel purvey falsehood, craft fiction, sensationalize and throw decency into the winds. The likes of Realnewshave a job on their hands to sanitize the online medium.
7. Going specific, NNPC marvels at the energy of the Chief Executive of Realnews, Ms. Maureen Chigboand the frank support her organisation has offered the corporation in recent times. With your energy, seriousness and strong will, it is given that your medium will go places.
