A LADIES arm of Paris Saint-Germain, a French football giant, has signed on Ngozi Ebere, a defender of the Nigerian of Super Falcons.

Farid Benstiti, PSG manager, said she was delighted to have signed the 24-year-old player from Rivers Angels, a football club based in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

“The Paris Saint-Germain Women’s team are delighted to announce the transfer of Nigerian international Ngozi Ebere for the next two seasons,” PSG said on their official website on Tuesday, September 15.

PSG said that Ebere, who was given jersey number six, chose the team ahead of other clubs.

By the signing, Ebere has become the second top Nigerian player to move to the French women’s league after Desire Oparanozie joined Guingamp from Turkish outfit Ataşehir Belediyespor last year.

“Ebere is a Nigerian who plays left-back. She has great potential and qualities that were shown in the last World Cup,” Benstiti said, adding: “She will need time to adapt, but her qualities will enable her to be ready fairly quickly.”

“I am here to give the best of myself and to win trophies,” Ebere told the club’s website, adding, “I am very motivated by this new challenge that awaits me here in Paris. It’s a dream come true.”
