TEAM FCT on Monday beat the Delta male handball team 33-28 to advance to the semi-finals of the ongoing 19th National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that FCT was totally in control of the game by winning the two halfs 14-11 and 19-17.

Speaking on their performance, coach Olubukola Duru said he was happy her players adhered to instructions.

“In a game every body wants to win. There are challenges from we the coaches. For every call, we must complain. It is natural.

“But today is my day. I thank God we won our game. Now, we will go back to the drawing board and prepare for the semi-finals on Wednesday,” he said.

NAN reports that the 19th NSF which started on Thursday is expected to end on Sunday.
