Abiodun sends sports commission, sports trust fund bill to assembly

GOV. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun on Monday forwarded  bills seeking to establish the State Sports Commission and Sports Trust Fund for  the consideration of  State House of Assembly.

Mr Olakunle Oluomo (APC/Ifo1), the Speaker,  read the letter of the governor during plenary in Abeokuta on Monday, saying the letter was received on September 6.

The letter read: “I forward herewith a bill to provide for the Establishment of the Ogun State Sports Commission and for connected purposes for the kind consideration and passage of the House of Assembly.

“I forward herewith a bill for a law to provide for the establishment of the Ogun State Sports Trust Fund Commission and for connected purposes for the kind consideration and passage of the House.

“Please, accept the assurances of my highest regards always,” Abiodun said.

Also during plenary, the Magistrates’ Courts (Amendment) law, 2019 and the Customary Courts (Amendment) law, 2019 were read for the first time by the Acting Clerk,  Deji Adeyemo. (NAN)
