Dreamland-Embassy of Hungary Cup: 6 matches to be played as tourney enters day 2

SIX matches will be played on Wednesday in the fifth edition of the Dreamland-Embassy of Hungary Cup Under-19 Youth Football Invitational Tournament going on in Abuja.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 12 teams are taking part in the competition, an international youth football scouting tournament, holding at the Abuja National Stadium.

Hooke Sports meet Stallion in a Group B fixture, while Dolphins will face FC Ngadiuba in a Group C tie and Right2Win take on DSS in a Group A match.

Dreamland face ATICO in another Group B match, Galadima meet FC Chimooski in the day’s other Group C fixture, while Team 360 face Standard Global in the other Group A match.

Meanwhile, in one of the opening day matches played on Tuesday, Dreamland Academy beat Hooke Sports 2-0 through goals by Kenneth Iheanyichukwu and Emenike Eke.

Also, Galadima Academy defeated Dolphins Academy 2-0, after goals by Jazulu Haruna and Usman Sani, while Team 360 Academy lost 1-2 to Right2Win Academy.

While Hasiru Saliya scored for Team 360, Sunday Kala and Fortimo Sommali scored for Right2Win.

Stallion Academy beat ATICO Academy 3-0, with James Anthony, Iko Seth and Shadrack Kolo scoring for them.

FC Ngadiuba lost 2-3 to FC Chimooski Academy, with Inubong Andrew and Ubong Solomon scoring for the losers and Collins Smooth, Joseph Arumala and Ayo Ahmed for the winners.

DSS Academy also lost 0-2 to Standard Global, after goals by Shekudo Solomo and Monday Orumoh.

NAN reports that the preliminary stage of the competition, which has three groups of four teams each, will end on Thursday.

The group winners and the overall best losers, or the best of the three runners-up from the groups, will advance to Friday’s semi-finals.

The competition will end on Saturday with an exhibition match and the final match.
