”I know that you people need first aid box fully equipped because you cannot be training without such.

”As the chairman, I will always put head together with other members of this association to ensure that you enjoy lots of benefits.

”World boxers started this way and it is left for you to put in your best all the time.

”Though, boxing is a difficult sports but with insurance and determination, you can excel,” he said.

The chairman said that he would register the state boxers in the proposed boxing league in the country scheduled to hold in July.

Osondu promised that the failed boxing trail in December 2019 would take place in 2020 and that the date would be communicated to boxers.

In his response, a boxer, Jeremiah Nwodo expressed satisfaction with the board support to the state boxers.

Nwodo thanked the chairman for being the brain behind its trail in the state especially his sponsorship of competitions outside the state.

He urged the chairman and the board not to relent on their assistance to boxers as the state government assistance could not be enough.

Nwodo promised the board that state boxers would always hold them in high esteem and reposed their faith in them with laurels in any competition they attended.

A female boxer, Modesta Agbowo told the chairman that the boxers would appreciate it if the board provided them with first aid box.

She called for regular boxing competitions and trail in the state as this would bring out the best in them.
