EBERE Amaraizu, the Crime Busters FC Team Manager (TM), has appealed to the club’s players to be disciplined and focused on the Nigeria National League (NNL) promotion play-off in Lokoja.

Amaraizu made the appeal on Wednesday in Enugu at the police command shortly before the team’s departure to Lokoja for the competition.

He urged them to put in their best to the play-off to ensure they subdue their opponents, Akajiobi FC from Imo.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Crime Buster defeated Akajiobi 3-0 in the 2018 FA Cup preliminary in Umuahia.

Amaraizu, however, advised the players to put behind them their past record against their opponents on Aug. 9.

“’See every challenge as a new one, the utmost prize is the NNL qualification,” he said.

Responding, the team’s captain, Chidi Nwite, said that they were eager to play in the Nigeria National League.

“We want to reward our fans for their steadfastness and the management who has been awesome.

“The Inspector-General of Police (I-G) deserves a reward because he has put in a lot of resources into this team, likewise our sponsor, George Agu and our Director, Ebere Amaraizu,” he said.

“Meanwhile, 18 players made the list with 6 officials and we are all in high spirit,” Nwite said.

Okoro Obinna, a member of Nigeria U-17 2009 World Cup silver winning team, expressed determination that the team would defeat their opponents.
