CHIEF Executive Officer of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe has hailed sports minister, Sunday Dare over plans the being put in by the ministry ahead of the long-awaited return of sporting activities in the country.

The minister hinted last week that plans have reached an advanced stage to have Nigeria sports back on stream with non-combat sports including table tennis, lawn tennis and  track and field  following the ease of lockdown due to COVID-19.

Speaking on the development, Egbe commended Dare for his meticulous plans so that country can safely return to sports.

“I’ m impressed with the road map Sunday Dare has drawn up for the return of sporting activities,” explained Egbe. “The ministry has released a COVID-19 protocol on sport and it is good the minister wants sports to return in a safe and scientific way.

“I’m happy he is putting the health of the athletes first in the whole plan.”

Egbe whose outfit has been receiving accolades for the excellent jobs it is doing across the country and other parts of Africa, said Dare deserves thumbs up for his tireless efforts at ensuring that the nation’s sporting facilities get better post COVID-19.

He said: “We all know that one area we need to work on for our sports to get better is that of infrastructure. With the plans being put in place by Dare for the national stadiums in Abuja and Lagos, things would soon be looking up for Nigerian sports.”
