THE Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for Anambra South Senatorial District, Chief Chris Uba, has said he has the capacity to protect his votes in the February 16 election.

Uba said this during his campaign tour of communities in the district made up of seven local government areas — Ihiala, Aguata, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Orumba North, Orumba South and Ekwusigo.

He said, “What you owe me is to come out in large number and vote for me. I have the capacity to protect your votes.

“Don’t be dissuaded by the rumour that certain people had already written the results of that election. It is not true.

“No mortal can rig any election that I am contesting. I am a professor in this game.”

Uba boasted that since 1999, he had single-handedly installed no fewer than three governors, six senators, 11 members of the House of Representatives and 30 members of the state House of Assembly.

He added, “I am a consultant and I am a teacher in politics. When a teacher is at the centre of the class, the pupils keep quiet.

“Nobody can rig this election. Nobody can rig an election I am contesting. Nobody can conspire against me. I can keep vigil to protect your votes.” – Punch
