1,500 people benefit from N15m SDGs cash assistance in Fakai LGA – Chairman

NO fewer than 1,500 people in Fakai Local Government Area of Kebbi State have benefitted from the N15 million cash assistance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The council Chairman, Alhaji Musa Jarma, made this known, while disbursing the money, N10, 000 to each of the beneficiaries on Friday in Fakai.

Jarma said: “1,500 people in this area benefited from the cash assistance given by the state government through the state office of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).’’

He said that the state government decided to give the assistance in order to improve the living standard and the socio-economic development of the people.

Jarma urged the beneficiaries to continue to support the state government’s policies and programmes in order to move the state forward.

“I also call on you to use the fund to improve your condition and move your business activities forward,” he called.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the beneficiaries included, fish sellers, butchers, destitute, women as well as the physically-challenged persons. (NAN)
