OLABOWALE Ademola, head of Lagos State Civil Service, has urged members of the Association of Professional Women Bankers, APWM, to continue to work for the interest of women and children in order to ensure the development of the Society.

Ademola, who gave the advice today in Lagos during a courtesy visit to her office by the executive members of the Association, explained that it was imperative for the APWM to always encourage and acknowledge the strengths and roles of women in order to build the nation.

The Head of Service stressed the need for members of the Association to always give a helping hand to other women lagging behind, particularly against the background of the roles of women in nation building.

According to her, “Let me urge members of your association to continue to make positive impact that will make people feel the presence of your association in the Society”.

Earlier, Oluwatoyin Ojo, chairperson of the Association of Professional Women Bankers and Leader of the delegation, commended the Lagos State Government for recognising and acknowledging the valuable contributions of women to societal development as exemplified in the consecutive appointments of three women as Heads of Service.

Ojo however called for more women representation in governance as well as further collaboration with the State government in the areas of women training and empowerment.

She assured that her Association will always strive to promote the culture of integrity and professionalism.
