Stakeholders admonish Anambra State youths to be law-abiding during the forthcoming elections
THE people of Anambra have been urged to shun thuggery and other electoral violence during the forthcoming general elections.
Ijeoma Nzewi, the National Orientation Agency, NOA, spokesperson for Anambra West Local Council, said this during a sensitisation workshop on voter education organised at Umueze Anam Town Hall.
Nzewi said the aim of the sensitisation was to remind and teach the electorate on how to cast their votes on Election Day.
She also reminded the electorate, especially youths about the need to shun electoral violence during the upcoming general election.
Victor Nwokolo, the Independent National Electoral Commission officer, Anambra West LG, urged the Youths not to fall victims of thuggery during the polls.
Nwokolo thanked the stakeholders and NOA for their support toward ensuring that the forthcoming elections would be peaceful.
