THE Zamfara chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has congratulated Sen Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara West) over the conferment of the traditional title of Marafan Sokoto on him by Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji  Sa’ad Abubakar.

This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Sunday by the State APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris.

“The state APC leadership under the Chairman, Tukur Danfulani, wishes to congratulate Sen. Yari over the conferment of the traditional titles of Marafan Sokoto.

“This is an honour done to all  the party members and the entire people of Zamfara for giving the title of Marafan Sokoto to our leader.

“We believe, Sen Yari as a former Zamfara Governor has all the qualities to earn such a title as required by the seat of the caliphate,” Idris said.

According to him, the traditional title to Yari is well deserved considering his patience, tolerance, hard work, dedication and philanthropy, among others.

The State APC chapter also expressed gratitude to Allah and appreciated the Sokoto Sultanate Council for making Yari worthy of the enviable title.

The party also prayed to Allah to continue to guide and protect Yarı and in all that he has been doing to humanity especially in the state.(NAN)
