THE 10th West African Clean Energy and Environment Trade Fair and Conference, WACEE’22, is scheduled to hold at the Landmark Event Centre Lagos from October 19 to 21, 2022.
According to the statement by the delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Nigeria, AHK Nigeria, the event is aimed at bringing together industry experts, business leaders, and key decision-makers to engage in discussions that impact sustainable energy supply, clean water, hydrogen, and climate action.
It added that several side events will hold alongside the exhibition and conference and that WACEE will return to Lagos, Nigeria to discuss some of the reasons why it is important to do business in Nigeria.
It noted that being the largest economy in Africa, a large consumer market with a population of over 200 million made up of predominantly youths, provides a strategic testing ground for businesses in Africa.
The statement also added that having ports along the Atlantic coast as entry point for businesses and distributing products into the surrounding West African territory and investment incentives in export-oriented businesses among others are vital.
More than 1500 visitors and 50 exhibitors in the clean energy, water and environmental sectors are expected to showcase their innovations and products, while leading industry players and start-ups from about 20 countries, including country pavilions from Germany and Austria will feature at the WACEE’22.
WACEE is the leading West African exhibition and conference in the clean energy, water and circular economy sectors. Since its inception in 2012, the exhibition and conference has been held annually in Accra, Ghana, and was held in Nigeria for the first time in 2020 as a virtual exhibition and conference.
The theme of the conference and fair is ‘Catalyzing Sustainable Investments’ and interested companies are advised to contact energy@lagos-ahk.de; events@lagos-ahk.de or call +234 803 790 3696 for more information on exhibition and partnerships.
