19th NSF cricket: Kaduna state men beat Edo by 8 wickets

KADUNA state’s male cricket team on Monday beat their Edo counterparts by 8 wickets at the ongoing 19th National Sports Festival (NSF) in Abuja.

Edo which elected to bat first, having won the toss, scored 102 runs for the loss of 8 wickets after 20 overs in the first innings.

In the second innings, Team Kaduna scored 103 runs for the loss of two wickets after 15.1 overs.

Isaac Danladi who emerged Player of the Match scored 38 runs off 30 balls and two wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs.

In the female category, Edo outclassed Jigawa by 87 runs.

In the first innings, Edo scored 160 runs for the loss of five wickets after 20 overs.

Jigawa scored 73 runs for the loss of nine wickets after 20 overs in the second innings.

Chinelo George emerged Player of the Match, having scored 53 runs not out off 55 balls
