ODION Ighalo FC on Thursday picked the Epe Conference ticket after defeating De Elite 1-0 in the final match of the Epe Conference centre.

With the win, the team qualified to move to the next round of the first edition of the 1XBET football challenge.

Ambrose Duru, the handler of the Odion Ighalo FC, described the match a high-octane game with end-to-end actions that kept fans on their toes throughout the duration.

De Elites proved to be worthy finalists and asked several questions of the defence line of Ighalo FC, marshalled by Justice Ohanusi and dare-devil saves by goalkeeper Idowu Abiodun.

After a goalless first half, the second half began in similar all-action fashion by both sides, until striker Michael Nwachukwu scored the goal that separated the teams in the 53rd minute.

The goal was Nwachukwu’s 5th goal in two matches.

Yusuf Fawaz, also of Ighalo FC, won the highest scorer award with six goals.

A total of 40 goals were scored in 13 matches at the Epe Conference, making it the highest number of goals scored in the championship so far.

Former Nigeria youth international, Michael Dominic, commended Match International Ltd., led by Wahidi Akanni and 1XBET betting company, headed by Oluwafemi Babalola, for a near-perfect football showpiece at the grassroots.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the winner of the first position will go home with N1million, while the second and third positions go home with N500,000 and N300,000 respectively. (NAN)
