TWO brothers – Shehu Bubakar and Usman Abubakar, were on Wednesday brought before a Kaduna Chief Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing a tricycle valued at N1.2 million.

The duo, whose addresses were not provided, are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

The prosecutor, Insp Chidi Leo, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on July 25 at Kano Road, on Ahmadu Bello Way, Kaduna.

“The accused persons conspired to steal one tricycle with registration number AKD 657 QF valued at N1.2 million property of one Ibrahim Haruna,” Leo said.

The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.

Chief Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel granted the defendants N100,000 bail each with two sureties each in like sum.

He ordered that the sureties should provide to the court evidence of tax payment to the Kaduna State Government.
