2 men docked over alleged theft of N25,000 rods

TWO men-Akeem Salami,19, and Abiodun Yusuf,18,were on Wednesday arraigned in an Ota Magistrates ‘ Court, Ogun, for allegedly stealing  rods valued at N25,000.
The defendants of no fixed addresses were docked on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The prosecutor, Insp. Rosemary Samson, told the court that the defendants and others still at large, committed the offences on July 2, at about 5.00 a. m. at Ota.
She alleged that the accused persons broke into the house of Saidi Ariyo, the complainant and stole  rods valued at N25,000.
Samson told the court that the offences contravened Sections 411(2) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Ogun, 2006.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to charges.
The Senior Magistrate, Mr G. E. Akan, granted the defendants bail in the some of N20,000 each , and two sureties each in like sum.
