The Resident Pastor of Christ Foundation Bible Church, Pastor Olusegun Elijah, has urged Nigerians to get fully involved in the political process to ensure successful conduct of the 2019 elections.
Elijah, disclosed this while speaking with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin on Thursday.
He said that the country can only move forward to experience change and newness, if there is cooperation among the citizens.
Elijah advised the Federal, States and Local Governments to forget the mistakes of the past administration and strive to solve the prevailing national problems.
“If you do not forget the former, you cannot experience the new, one thing that keeps dragging our development back is that we keep remembering and blaming past administrations.
“Nigerians know there was and is a problem and want solution and that is why we elected those we think are capable.
“The present administration should forget about past administration and solve our common national problems.
“We cannot have a new Nigeria without everyone’s involvement, especially in the coming 2019 elections,’’ he said.
Elijah added: “I tell you without people taking the future of the country in their hands, by getting their voter’s card and making sure they vote, we may likely remain on the same level.
“I urge every eligible Nigerian to be involved in the electioneering process come 2019, and I know God will choose rightly for us.
“Cooperation with one another is very strategic in nation building; there should be religious, ethnic and social tolerance among us as Nigerians.”
He called on all Nigerians to intercede in prayers for the nation.(NAN)
